Health Works Fitness zit in het New Babylon gebouw en dan op  de  2e verdieping van dit gebouw. Je kunt de Health Works Fitness het beste bereiken via de ingang aan het Centraal Stationsplein of het Anna van Buerenplein.

Bij Health Works Fitness kan je als het een keer wilt uitproberen, altijd een keer langs komen om te gaan proefsporten. En ervaar de sfeer en kijk of de sportschool voldoet aan jouw eisen.

Ook kan je via Health Works Fitness met een personal trainer trainen in de fitness zaal. Ook als je zelfstandig traint is er altijd een begeleider aanwezig om je voorzien van hulp en of advies.

Er zijn ruime doucheruimtes, kleedkamers en kluisjes aanwezig.

    Hello everyone,

    I would consider myself a well tempered and good humoured man, having grown up in a place where tensions run high, I would say it is hard to rile me. Unfortunately, however, I left Health Works Fitness last night physically shaking with anger at how I had been treated. Gather round all, for I have a story to tell…

    Let me start off by saying that I’m still new to this country after having lived here only a year. I am still becoming accustomed to the varied approaches in customer service and differences between here and my homeland. It saddens me to write this complaint because a complaint is exactly what it is, and I would like to think myself above petty grievances such as this. It’s just that when the general manager of the gym swears in your face and belittles you in public, there’s nought else to do save inform the public lest they fall victims themselves to this extremely substandard treatment of clientele.

    A couple weeks ago I received a bill saying I had not paid my fees, this was interesting seeing as I had thought a couple months ago [after a previous altercation with the gym involving legal action] I had rescinded my subscription. Completely fed up with the service and the lack of consistency in their policies I went last night to just pay the bill once and for all and be done with them. When I voiced my complaint about why I was fed up with them I did so in the most indignantly polite manner, only achievable by those native of the British Isles such as myself. I also told them that unfortunately when people would ask me what I thought of their gym I would actively dissuade them from subscribing to the substandard service, poor administrative capability and what I found to be belligerent management.

    A good businesswoman and manager would have said –
    ‘I’m sorry you feel that way sir, please have a good day goodbye’

    On the contrary the opposite happened and my complaints were not taken hugely well by the general manager. She informed me that she did not think I had a huge impact on how others from my school would perceive her gym. [I did not remind her that in a residential building of 400 people word travels fast, thats for her to figure out]. She also informed me that she had 500 LUC students and gave credit to the fact, and here I quote the honourable lady “we are the cheapest gym in the fucking Netherlands”. While I take issue with the idea that she has 500 LUC students [she most definitely does not have every single student of the college] that was not what shocked me but the sheer audacity and lack of business foresight of this general manager. To explicitly tell a customer [now a happy ex-customer] that they are not important is unacceptable conduct. Swearing in the presence of a customer further galvanises my claim as to the foolishness of this action. I didn’t remind her that it won’t be the cheapest gym in the Netherlands for long for many people, because, in their infinite wisdom HWF is raising the price for those customers going into their second year of membership. This would be to a premium definitely not “the cheapest in the fucking Netherlands” as the lovely manager so eloquently phrased it.

    Maybe a trivial post, but one which I thought necessary. In summary I have received abysmal service from this gym and am extremely pleased to finally cut ties with it. It’s a shame that it had to end so dramatically, but in a place where the administration is as layered and confused as the plotline to inception there really was only one manner of getting out, and that was always going to be messy.
